Website Translation Services

Website translation for hotel, travel, lifestyle and retail brands

IPPWORLD is an award-winning transcreation agency that specialises in creative translation and marketing localisation for the hospitality, travel, lifestyle and retail sectors.

We translate your website so each language version reads as if it were written for that market, in your brand voice, and we place it straight into your CMS. We have done this since 1994, from Singapore, with our own editorial team in Shanghai.

What we translate on your website

Pages and navigation

Pages and navigation
Headlines, body copy, menus and calls to action, written to read naturally in each language.

Property and product descriptions

Property and product descriptions
Rooms, venues, packages and products described the way local guests and shoppers expect.

Booking engines and forms

Booking engines and forms
Booking flows, form labels, buttons and system messages, so every step works in the guest’s language.

Blogs, news and offers

Blogs, news and offers
Articles, promotions and seasonal campaigns kept up to date in every market.

Multilingual SEO

Multilingual SEO
Target-language keywords built into the copy, so each language version can be found in local search.

Testing before go-live

Testing before go-live
Translated text checked in place on the site, so layouts, characters and links work before launch.

Why transcreation, not word-for-word translation

A machine or word-for-word translation of a website keeps the meaning of each line. Your website also has to persuade a visitor to book or buy. Transcreation, or creative translation, adapts four things together: language, emotion, culture and your brand tone of voice.

  • Your site sounds like your brand in every language, not like a translation.
  • Offers, descriptions and calls to action are written for how each market decides.
  • Native-language editors write to your brief, not to the English sentence structure.

Websites we have translated

Frasers Hospitality

COMO Hotels & Resorts

Website in seven languages on Drupal, working alongside the client’s digital agency.

How we work

  1. Understand the project brief: your site, markets, audience and tone of voice.
  2. Pre-transcreation study: local search terms, usage and references checked before writing starts.
  3. Transcreation: native-language editors write the copy in your brand voice.
  4. Client review: your market teams read it.
  5. Update and approval: changes go back through the same editors.
  6. Final delivery: placed into your CMS and checked on the site before go-live.

The full process is on our how we work page.

Costs less over time

Premium quality at competitive rates, measured on what your website costs to run in every language over time rather than per word.

  • Translation Memory. We keep a dedicated memory of your approved copy, so page updates and new pages cost less each time and your terms stay consistent.
  • Right first time. On-brand copy at the first attempt avoids paying again to fix pages that read correctly but do not convert.
  • One partner. Every language and every update through one team, working in your CMS, with one brand voice.

Industries we work in

Hotels and hospitality

Hotel groups and resorts: brand sites, property pages, booking flows and offers.

Travel and tourism

Airports, attractions and destinations: visitor information and campaign pages.

Retail and lifestyle

Lifestyle and retail brands: product pages, campaigns and online stores.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between website translation and website localisation?
Website translation is the language: your site’s copy written in another language. Website localisation adapts the whole site for a market, including formats, images, layout and the technical work inside your CMS. We handle both as one project. See our website localisation service.
Is a translation plugin or machine translation enough?
For internal or low-stakes pages it can be. For pages that sell, such as property descriptions, offers and booking flows, machine output keeps the words but loses the persuasion and the brand voice. That is the copy we transcreate.
Can you work directly in our CMS?
Yes. We have worked directly in clients’ Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore and Drupal systems, so approved copy goes live without anyone re-keying it.
Which languages do you work in?
Thirty: 18 Asian, 10 European and two Middle Eastern, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic.
How long does a website translation project take?
It depends on the size of the site, the languages and your review rounds. For scale, the Frasers Hospitality relaunch was more than half a million words in 15 languages, delivered in eight weeks.
