Marketing Translation Services

Marketing translation for hotel, travel, lifestyle and retail brands

IPPWORLD is an award-winning transcreation agency that specialises in creative translation and marketing localisation for the hospitality, travel, lifestyle and retail sectors.

We translate your campaigns, website, emails and collateral so they persuade in each market the way they do in English, in the same brand voice. We have done this since 1994, from Singapore, with our own editorial team in Shanghai.

Campaigns and advertising

Social and video

Social and video
Short-form posts, subtitles and promotional video scripts.

Why transcreation, not literal translation

A literal translation keeps the meaning of the words. Marketing copy also needs the reason people act on it. Transcreation, or creative translation, adapts four things together: language, emotion, culture and your brand tone of voice.

  • Your brand sounds like itself in every language, not like a translation.
  • Cultural references are replaced with ones that work in the target market.
  • Native-language editors write to your brief, not to the English sentence structure.

How we work

  1. Understand the project brief: your content, markets, audience and tone of voice.
  2. Pre-transcreation study: market terms, usage and references checked before writing starts.
  3. Transcreation: native-language editors write the copy in your brand voice.
  4. Client review: your market teams read it.
  5. Update and approval: changes go back through the same editors.
  6. Final delivery: in the format you need, or straight into your CMS.

Costs less over time

Premium quality at competitive rates, measured on what your programme costs over time rather than per word.

  • Translation Memory. We keep a dedicated memory of your approved copy, so repeated and updated content costs less each time and your terms stay consistent.
  • Right first time. On-brand copy at the first attempt avoids paying again to fix translations that read correctly but do not work.
  • One partner. Website, CRM, collateral and campaigns in every language through one team, with one brand voice.

Industries we work in

Hotels and hospitality

Hotel groups and resorts: websites, CRM, in-room directories, spa and food and beverage menus.

Travel and tourism

Airports, attractions and destinations: web content, visitor brochures and campaigns.

Retail and lifestyle

Lifestyle and retail brands: campaigns, product copy and brand guides.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between marketing translation and marketing localisation?
Marketing translation is the language: your campaign, website and collateral copy written in another language. Marketing localisation is the wider adaptation for a market, including formats, artwork and channel conventions. We handle both as one piece of work. See our marketing localisation service.
Which languages do you work in?
Thirty: 18 Asian, 10 European and two Middle Eastern, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic.
Can you put the translated content straight into our CMS?
Yes. We have worked directly in clients’ Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore and Drupal systems, so approved copy goes live without anyone re-keying it.
How is marketing translation priced?
We quote per project, because scope, languages and creative depth all affect it. Compare on total cost: a dedicated Translation Memory, copy that is right first time and one partner across markets all lower what a programme costs over time.
How long does a project take?
It depends on volume, languages and your review rounds. For scale, the Frasers Hospitality website relaunch was more than half a million words in 15 languages, delivered in eight weeks.
